Major roads’ traffic chaos

There were huge delays across the county after roadworks on the A2 overran on Wednesday.

Tailbacks worsened when a vehicle broke down and there was congestion on the M20, A249 and in Higham as drivers tried to avoid the jams.

The works, on the A2 Londonbound, had been due to finish at 7am, but didn’t end until 8.30am.
