Trail date for fraud case
A woman will stand trial accused of fraud and theft. Appearing at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court last Friday Vanessa Hamilton denied using a stolen bank card to buy alcohol and cigarettes from Himalaya Convenience Store, Union Street, in September. The 42-year-old, of Farleigh Lane, also pleaded not guilty to stealing a wallet, mobile phone, cash, book and driving licence on the same day and taking a clothes airer two days later. She was given unconditional bail to return for a trial on March 29.
