Author helps pupils with their poetry
Schoolchildren flexed their creative muscles last week in a poetry workshop.
More than 200 aspiring wordsmiths from Sutton Valence Primary School took part in the class run by author Brian Moses last Tuesday.
The author spoke about his own writing, and taught the pupils about different forms of poetry, as well as helping them to write their own pieces.
They were then given the chance to read their work to the school in front of the assembly.
Sophie Glewis, English coordinator at the North Street school, said: “The children really enjoyed the workshop, and we’re hoping to do more similar sessions in the future.”
