Two charged after four arrested
Four men arrested in connection with burglaries have been released – but two have been charged with different offences.
The men were pulled over in a Citroen Xsara in January, following reports of suspicious behaviour and the car was searched by officers.
They were arrested in Brunswick Street, Maidstone, and investigated for alleged conspiracy to commit burglary offences then bailed pending further inquiries until this month .
Two of the men, both from Chatham, have been released without charge, but Alexander Anderson, 42, of Ordnance Street, Chatham, was charged with being in possession of a knife in a public place and bailed to appear before magistrates in Maidstone on Friday, April 21.
Justin Wells, 26, of Royal Road, Sheerness, was charged with drink-driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
At Medway Magistrates’ Court,, he was banned from driving for three years, fined £ 110 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
