Blaze in drain

Firefighters were called to a suspected drain fire in Maidstone Town Centre on Thursday.

A member of the public reported seeing smoke coming from a drain in Earl Street at around 3.45pm.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was a false alarm.
