Money stolen in shop break-in

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a shop in Maidstone.

Newsline at the northern end of Week Street was broken into just after 4am last Wednesday.

A crowbar was found along with tool marks on the back of the door.

Cigarettes had been placed in boxes and of cash taken from the till.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious leading up to or after the raid and in particular a blue Audi A4 which was seen leaving the area at the time and was later seen driving up Blue Bell Hill.
