Sale raises funds for WI branch

-

The smiles were wide as the Yalding branch of the WI showed off what could be bought at their jumble sale.

Tea cups, a badminton racquet and cuddly toys were all on offer.

The event held in the village hall, in Lyngs Close, raised £154.

This will be used to pay for the group’s guest speakers. Donations of bedding and cushions, and DVDS, sold particularly well.

The branch is 40-strong, but always looking to attract new members. They meet on the second Tuesday of every month in Yalding Village Hall.

Anyone wanting details can contact the president, Doreen Stanford, on 01622 813384.
