We must oppose all new housing

-

As a recent addition to the population of Yalding I would like to urge all residents great and small to get involved in any activity that seeks to oppose any further housing developments within the immediate area.

This is not a NIMBY issue, it’s an issue relating to congestion/ pollution and the protection of our medieval single lane bridge which is often under siege due to heavy traffic not to mention the oversized trucks that are not meant to pass through the village but still do and have caused structural damage a number of times this year already.

This traffic is also a major risk to village children who also have to cross at such times.

Yalding is a beautiful village that presents a major flood risk and this with the added congestion should be an indicator that it is not suitable for further homes related development. Tom Pattison Gabriels Cottages, Yalding
