Get your work on museum’s Xmas gifts

Kent Messenger Maidstone - - NEWS -

Budding photographers have a chance to see their work used on a range of gifts this Christmas.

Maidstone Museum is looking for a black-and-white image taken in the town which can be printed on items for sale in the St Faith’s Street building’s shop.

The competition is open to anyone from Kent and has two categories: ages six to 12; and 13 and over.

First, second and third place will receive shopping vouchers for The Mall, while prizes for the younger category consist of Waterstones vouchers and soft dinosaur toys.

All entries will be viewed by the award-winning artist Graham Clarke, as well as Victoria Barlow, Samantha Butler and Annabelle Pearsall, from the museum.

The image submitted can show anything from buildings to beauty spots.

To enter, participants should email pictures to samantha butler@maidstone.gov.uk or post or deliver entries in person to Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery.

The competition closes on Monday, and the winner will be announced on Monday, August 7.
