Pupils show off their tal­ents

Artists and mu­sic stars of the fu­ture dis­played their tal­ent dur­ing a show­case at South Bor­ough Pri­mary School.

Pupils blew par­ents and teach­ers away with a recorder recital and paint­ings pro­vided a colour­ful back­drop to a day of cre­ative dis­plays.

The event, last Mon­day, in­vited par­ents and car­ers to a two-hour art show in­spired by work in­spired by var­i­ous artis­tic meth­ods chil­dren have learnt from the past two years.

Art work var­ied from his­tor­i­cal artist stud­ies, colour the­ory, tonal value, sketch­ing, paint­ing, oil pas­tels, mod roc, clay, card­board re­lief and print­ing pa­per sculp­ture.

Mu­si­cal and drama per­for­mances were also put in place as pupils learnt art comes in all kinds of dif­fer­ent for­mats.

The school, in Stagshaw Close, also had two pupils dress as Sal­vador Dali and Frida Kahlo to usher par­ents and car­ers around the school through­out the event.
