Caps and gowns for little leavers

Kent Messenger Maidstone - - NEWS -

There was barely a dry eye in the house when youngsters graduated with honours and sweets before heading off to big school.

The children couldn’t hide their excitement as they donned traditional caps and gowns.

The group of 16 youngsters celebrated the end of their time at Little Learners Nursery, in Boughton Lane, Loose, with a glittering ceremony in front of their families and friends.

During the celebrations, which took place on Monday, the children collected their certificates and a bundle of treats, before enjoying a spot of afternoon tea. There was also a tear-jerking video that showed clips of the tots enjoying their time at the nursery.

Leonie Cooper, nursery manager, said: “It was a really lovely day and it was fantastic to be able to say goodbye to the children, as well as their families and friends, in such a special way.

“On behalf of all of the staff, we wish the children the very best of luck for their move to primary school.”
