Stamp collectors had a first class time at a fair.

It was held by the Maidstone and Mid-Kent Philatelic Society and people from across the county went to Aylesford Community Centre.

As well as being one of two fairs held annually by the Kent Federation – the parent body overseeing philatelic societies in Kent – it offered an opportunity to welcome new federation president, Marcus SherwoodJenkins. He is a member of the Maidstone and Mid-Kent branch and will now hold this position for two years.

Fifteen dealers went to the fair and visitors could also enjoy a tombola and refreshments. The Maidstone and Mid-Kent group meets twice a month at St Paul’s Church Hall in Boxley Road, Maidstone, and also holds a morning meeting at the Indoor Bowls Club in Mote Park once a month.
