Four firms bidding to run our trains
The new franchise holder will take over Kent services from next year.
Four companies bidding for the franchise are in the running. Current operator Southeastern, officially called London and South East Passenger Rail Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Govia Limited, will be hoping to continue running trains in Kent.
MPs signing the letter are Damian Collins (Folkestone and Hythe), Charlie Elphicke (Dover), Helen Grant (Maidstone and the Weald), Sir Roger Gale (North Thanet), Helen Whately (Faversham and Mid Kent), Gareth Johnson (Dartford), Gordon Henderson (Sittingbourne and Sheppey), Kelly Tolhurst (Rochester and Strood), Tracey Crouch (Chatham and Aylesford), Sir Michael Fallon (Sevenoaks) and Greg Clark (Tunbridge Wells).
