Fan’s concert bid for Chester
A teenage music fan mourning the death of an international rock icon has launched a petition to host a concert in his memory.
Linkin Park front man Chester Bennington was found dead at his Los Angeles home last Thursday.
The 41-year-old was discovered hanged following a battle with depression and now an East Malling teenager is keen to remember the singer with London charity gigs next year.
Rebecca Barrett was hugged by Bennington during a recent meet and greet during Linkin Park’s most recent tour and thanked him for his music at the O2 Arena.
The 17-year-old has contacted bands such as Disturbed and 30 Seconds To Mars to help headline shows she is hoping can take place on March 18 and 20.
Money raised would be split between the American Fountain of Suicide Prevention and Music Relief, a charity set up by Linkin Park.
