Fan’s con­cert bid for Ch­ester

A teenage mu­sic fan mourn­ing the death of an in­ter­na­tional rock icon has launched a pe­ti­tion to host a con­cert in his mem­ory.

Linkin Park front man Ch­ester Ben­ning­ton was found dead at his Los An­ge­les home last Thurs­day.

The 41-year-old was dis­cov­ered hanged fol­low­ing a bat­tle with de­pres­sion and now an East Malling teenager is keen to re­mem­ber the singer with Lon­don char­ity gigs next year.

Re­becca Bar­rett was hugged by Ben­ning­ton dur­ing a re­cent meet and greet dur­ing Linkin Park’s most re­cent tour and thanked him for his mu­sic at the O2 Arena.

The 17-year-old has con­tacted bands such as Dis­turbed and 30 Sec­onds To Mars to help head­line shows she is hop­ing can take place on March 18 and 20.

Money raised would be split be­tween the Amer­i­can Foun­tain of Sui­cide Pre­ven­tion and Mu­sic Re­lief, a char­ity set up by Linkin Park.
