Wit­ness plea after ‘se­ri­ous’ crash

Po­lice in­ves­ti­gat­ing a se­ri­ous crash which has left two peo­ple in hospi­tal are re­new­ing their ap­peal for wit­nesses.

At around 8.10pm on Satur­day, Septem­ber 30, there ws a col­li­sion in­volv­ing a Suzuki Alto and a VW Golf on the Maid­stonebound car­riage­way of the A249, at the junc­tion for Huck­ing, near Stock­bury.

Paramedics and an air am­bu­lance were scram­bled to the scene where four men re­ceived treat­ment for in­juries – de­scribed as se­ri­ous. Two of the ca­su­al­ties re­main in a London hospi­tal.

Of­fi­cers from the Se­ri­ous Col­li­sion In­ves­ti­ga­tion Unit are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses who may have seen the ve­hi­cles im­me­di­ately be­fore or dur­ing the colli- sion, or who have dash­cam footage to get in con­tact.

In par­tic­u­lar, po­lice would like to speak to the driver of a lorry trav­el­ling on the A249 to­wards Maid­stone who stopped at the scene to as­sist.
