Stu­dents en­joy sports dis­cov­ery day

Seventy stu­dents with spe­cial needs had the chance to try dif­fer­ent sports at a dis­cov­ery day. The young­sters who came from three dif­fer­ent schools and a col­lege were able to try a wide range of ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing bas­ket­ball, arts and crafts, tram­polin­ing, hand­ball, judo, boxing, gym­nas­tics, short ten­nis, boc­cia, sit­ting vol­ley­ball and zumba. It was held at the An­gel Cen­tre in Ton­bridge and was or­gan­ised by Ton­bridge and Malling coun­cil. The spon­sor was Fidelity In­ter­na­tional who also vol­un­teered some of their staff to help run the day. The Ton­bridge Li­ons Club also gave its sup­port. The chil­dren were from Bower Grove School in Maid­stone, Oak­ley School in Tun­bridge Wells, Broomhill Bank School in Tun­bridge Wells and Had­low Col­lege.
