You can help

Kent Messenger Maidstone - - FRONT PAGE -

The festive season will soon be upon us and as all of us rush out to buy presents for loved ones, it’s also a chance to spare a thought for those in need.

You Can Help, the Kent Messenger’s annual campaign, launches on Friday, November 24 in association with Maidstone Day Centre.

Each year we collect cans of food and other useful items for the homeless and others who have fallen on tough times.

Toiletries, warm winter woollies and festive goodies are also welcome along with anyone who would like to lend a helping hand.

Schools, supermarkets, pubs and clubs from across the area were involved last year, but more collection points are also needed.

If you would like to get involved and provide a collection point for the campaign this year, call trustee Angela Clay on 01622 844481.

Trustees and volunteers Joyce Newman, Mike FitzGerald, Kathy High, Lisa Delaney and Sue Wood at the centre
