Teen arrested for assault

A teenager has been arrested after he reportedly threatened to kill a McDonald’s worker.

The incident happened around 6.30pm last Thursday at the restaurant in Week Street, Maidstone. The boy, who is 16 and from Borough Green, was taken into custody on suspicion of assault, threats to kill, possessing a bladed article and possession of cannabis.

It comes a month after the death of Wayne Chester near the restaurant. It is alleged the 50-year-old died after a single punch around 10.30pm on September 29. A 16-year-old boy is accused of murder and is due to enter a plea in December.
