It’s lovely jumbly for pre-school

There were bargains aplenty at a jumble sale in support of Twyford pre-school at the weekend.

The sale in the Yalding Village Hall in Lyngs Close had everything from books to designer-label clothes, from lampshades to a PlayStation.

Karen Fillingham, the chairman of trustees for the playgroup, said: “Everyone was very generous with their donations – we had more jumble than ever.

“Ours is a charity-run pre-school and we keep charges to a minimum, so naturally events like this are very important in raising some extra funds.”

The sale raised around £400.

Twyford Pre-school meets in the village on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 9am to 3pm.
