Flasher ex­poses him­self to child

A child sit­ting at a win­dow was tar­geted by a flasher.

Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for the public’s help as they in­ves­ti­gate the in­ci­dent from May.

Nearly two months on po­lice have is­sued a CCTV im­age of a per­son they be­lieve may have im­por­tant in­for­ma­tion.

It is al­leged a man ex­posed him­self through the win­dow of a home in Old Tovil Road.

His vic­tim was sit­ting alone in a room with the cur­tains open when a man knocked on the win­dow and waved to get their at­ten­tion.

Po­lice have al­ready spo­ken with neigh- bours and nearby busi­nesses as part of their in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Det Insp Ian Wadey said: “Crimes of this na­ture are ex­tremely rare in Kent, how­ever this in­ci­dent will no doubt have been very dis­tress­ing for the young per­son and their fam­ily. We are con­tin­u­ing to do all we can to iden­tify any po­ten­tial sus­pects or wit­nesses who may have im­por­tant in­for­ma­tion.

“We are hope­ful some­one will recog­nise the per­son in this im­age, which is an im­por­tant line of en­quiry.’
