Kent Messenger Maidstone - - FRONT PAGE -

Charities and parent-teacher associations can learn about grant fundraising at a training day organised by the KM Charity Team.

The course is for people new to grant applications and will take place on September 18.

It will be delivered by KM Charity Team deputy chief executive Rebecca Smith, who helped bring in more than £1m of contracts for her previous employer, Social Enterprise Kent.

Mrs Smith said: “I have picked up a lot of valuable insights about the secrets of successful grant fundraising over the course of my career in the charity sector, building up a handy toolkit of approaches to unlocking funding streams.

“I’d love to share my experience with good causes and play a part in helping them achieve their goals.”

The training will take place from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the KM Charity Team offices at 10 Estuary View, Whitstable.
