The heat is on at firewalk challenge
Get a warm glow from raising money for charity by taking part in a fundraising firewalk in November. Buster’s Charity Firewalk takes place on November 5, and provides a perfect opportunity to raise essential funds for the KM’s charity of the year, Maidstone’s Heart of Kent Hospice. The event, organised by the KM Charity Team, is being held at Kent cricket club’s St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury and is followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Former firewalk world record holder Scott Bell UK Firewalk will train participants before they walk across coals with a temperature above 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Participants must be 18 or above, and are asked to aim to raise at least £100 in sponsorship. Anyone who raises more than £200 will be entered into a draw to win a luxury spa day for two. Entry costs £25 per person, which also enables fundraisers to enjoy the fireworks display for free. Supporters can purchase tickets at a discounted rate to watch both events.
