Five face modern slavery charges
Detectives have charged six people in connection with a drugs supply network - including several in relation to modern slavery.
Gavin Bond, 34, of Mote Road in Maidstone is charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine and allowing a premises to be used for supplying drugs.
Andrew Cooke, 61, of Felderland Close, Maidstone, is charged with modern slavery and being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine. He is also accused of breaching his Sexual Offences Prevention Order. Peace Alaka, 18, of The Grove in Gravesend faces a drugs supply charge and one of modern slavery. Two 17-year-old boys - from Hemel Hempstead and Bexleyheath - were charged with modern slavery and heroin and crack cocaine supply, with the former charged with having a bladed article. The suspects are due before Maidstone magistrates. Reis Bhandal, 18, from Gravesend, is due at Woolwich Crown Court. He faces drugs supply and modern slavery charges.
