Sil­ver stolen in raid at an­tiques cen­tre

A DI­A­MOND ring and sev­eral sil­ver items were among the haul stolen from an an­tiques cen­tre in Chil­ham.

Items worth £15,000 to £20,000 were taken from Bagham Barn on Fe­bru­ary 12, at about 8.40pm.

Th­ese in­cluded a bronze gar­den statue of a man and wo­man in­ter­twined, a di­a­mond clus­ter ring and a lamp stand.

Hall­marked sil­ver items were also taken, in­clud­ing a fruit bowl cen­tre­piece circa 1912, a pair of Ch­ester HM 8ft can­dle­sticks, a set of 12 tea­spoons and tongs in a case, a toast rack, a fish slice, a teapot, a rose bowl, a hot-wa­ter jug with a cane han­dle, a hot-wa­ter jug com­po­si­tion han­dle and knob and a sil­ver top glass scent bot­tle by Mor­dan.

It is be­lieved the of­fender or of­fend­ers got in at the back of the premises, caus­ing £750 worth of dam­age.
