Silver stolen in raid at antiques centre
A DIAMOND ring and several silver items were among the haul stolen from an antiques centre in Chilham.
Items worth £15,000 to £20,000 were taken from Bagham Barn on February 12, at about 8.40pm.
These included a bronze garden statue of a man and woman intertwined, a diamond cluster ring and a lamp stand.
Hallmarked silver items were also taken, including a fruit bowl centrepiece circa 1912, a pair of Chester HM 8ft candlesticks, a set of 12 teaspoons and tongs in a case, a toast rack, a fish slice, a teapot, a rose bowl, a hot-water jug with a cane handle, a hot-water jug composition handle and knob and a silver top glass scent bottle by Mordan.
It is believed the offender or offenders got in at the back of the premises, causing £750 worth of damage.
