Vic­tims cut free from car smash

FIVE peo­ple were in­jured in a crash in Chal­lock on Satur­day. A Ford Fo­cus and a Dae­woo col­lided on the A252 at 2pm. The air am­bu­lance was called and fire­fight­ers had to cut peo­ple from the cars. The driver of the Ford Fo­cus, a 33-year-old man from Ash­ford, suf­fered cuts and bruis­ing. Two of his pas­sen­gers, a 37year-old wo­man and a 13-yearold girl, both from Can­ter­bury, sus­tained frac­tures. A seven-year-old girl from Can­ter­bury who was also in the Ford Fo­cus suf­fered frac­tures, bruis­ing and lac­er­a­tions. The driver of the Dae­woo, a 33year-old man from Can­ter­bury, suf­fered leg in­juries. All of them were taken to the William Har­vey Hospi­tal. The road was re­opened at 4.15pm.
