Golfers tee off for Oast Trust

GOLFERS are be­ing in­vited to tee off for char­ity. The golf day will be held at the Hemp­stead Golf Course in Cran­brook on May 23 and will be in aid of the Can­ter­bury Oast Trust, based at the Rare Breeds Cen­tre in Wood­church. The trust helps peo­ple with learn­ing dif­fi­cul­ties. Linda Sell of the trust said: “Don Cal­vary or­gan­ises a char­ity golf day ev­ery year with pro­ceeds go­ing to the trust. “The com­pe­ti­tion is in its 10th year and Don and his fel­low golfers have raised £20,000” She added: “The funds have made a huge dif­fer­ence to the lives of men and women that live within the trust. “There are a few places left for teams of four or in­di­vid­u­als.” The cost of the day is £47 which in­cludes lunch.
