FOR fast and fu­ri­ous fun why not try kart­ing? To ex­pe­ri­ence the thrill of real out­door kart­ing, visit Chatham’s 1,200m Buck­more Park in­ter­na­tional out­door kart cir­cuit, just off junc­tion 3 of the M2. The flood­lit venue is of­fer­ing chil­dren’s ar­rive‘n’drive kart­ing ses­sions on se­lected days dur­ing the school hol­i­days. Chil­dren aged be­tween eight and 11 (and who are at least 4’2” tall) can ex­pe­ri­ence the 20mph user­friendly Kids’ Karts on the north cir­cuit. The 40mph karts for 12 to 16year-olds are avail­able for hire on the more com­plex 600m south cir­cuit. For chil­dren aged be­tween five and eight, high-speed pas­sen­ger rides are avail­able on twin seat karts dur­ing ar­rive‘n’drive days. Kart­ing birth­day par­ties, in­clud­ing a birth­day meal, are an­other pop­u­lar op­tion for eight to 16-year-olds.
