Festive display lights the way

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

A CHALLOCK man lit up his home for charity, generating £1,700 for the Ashford Pilgrims Hospice. Alan Chapman, of Chatmans Close, decorated his house in Christmas lights and asked passers-by for donations, collecting £855 which was then match-funded by his employers. It was the third year running Alan and his wife Valerie have raised money for the hospice and the first time Bibby Line Distribution has supported their efforts. “It’s their 100th anniversary this year and they are hoping to do more for the hospice and other charities throughout the year,” said Alan.
