School’s a dod­dle on doo­dle day

SMEETH Pri­mary School pupils raised £142 for epilepsy suf­fer­ers on Fri­day, by show­ing their skill at that tra­di­tional class­room ac­tiv­ity – doo­dling. The school was tak­ing part in na­tional doo­dle day, or­gan­ised by the char­ity Epilepsy Ac­tion. Pupils and staff paid £1 each to fill a card with their draw­ings and th­ese were then posted to the char­ity. Schools will win IT equip­ment for the best doo­dles and the judges’ favourites will also be dis­played on the na­tional doo­dle day web­site. Teach­ing as­sis­tant Mar­garet Fagg said: “It was fan­tas­tic. We wish we could do it more of­ten.”
