Ap­peal for wit­nesses to as­sault

ASH­FORD po­lice are re­new­ing their ap­peal for a wit­ness to come for­ward af­ter a teenage boy was as­saulted by two other youths in East Hill, Ash­ford on Fe­bru­ary 1 around 1.30pm.

The 16-year-old, from Dover, was walk­ing down East Hill with a friend when a group of three youths started shout­ing at them.

The group caught up with the two boys and as­saulted them, leav­ing the 16-year-old with a nose bleed.

Af­ter a wo­man in­ter­vened the three youths walked away.

She helped con­trol the boy’s nose bleed, and then left the scene.

One of the youths is white, aged 17 to 18 years old, medium build, with short spiky hair and was wear­ing a yel­low top.

The sec­ond youth is white, aged 17-18, 6ft, medium build, with a south­ern ac­cent and wear­ing a dark blue top with a hor­i­zon­tal stripes.

Po­lice want to speak to any­one who has in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing the in­ci­dent, es­pe­cially the wo­man who stopped to help. They should con­tact PC Zoe Dupree on 07969 584063.
