CHILDREN raised money for sick youngsters by donating the proceeds of their dance show to a hospice. Ashford School of Ballet presented a cheque for £150 to Demelza House this week. The money was raised through their show My Favourite Things which the dancers, aged between three and 15, performed for parents last month. Debbie Patterson, who runs the group, said: “The money was from refreshments and programmes but there will be more to come when we sell the DVD and photographs. “The show was a collection of music from stage and film. “It was a huge hit and the children had a marvellous time. “They had a full understanding of what they were doing the show for.”
