Smokie and Dr Hook front­men to per­form

FOR­MER Smokie singer Chris Norman is to per­form at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall. Smokie were big in the Sev­en­ties with hits in­clud­ing Liv­ing Next Door To Alice, Lay Back in the Arms of Some­one and I’ll Meet You At Mid­night. The vo­cal­ist will per­form be­fore the main act, Den­nis Lo­cor­riere from Dr. Hook. The pair are do­ing a 35 date tour of the UK.


The con­cert is on Satur­day from 8pm. Chris Norman has not toured in the UK for more than 20 years. He said: “It will be great to be back again play­ing live in the UK. I’m re­ally look­ing for­ward to it”. The York­shire born fa­ther of five now lives on the Isle of Man with his wife of 36 years two sons and his youngest daugh­ter. Tick­ets cost £19 and £21.
