Can you offer a home to babes in woods?
MEET Bashful, Doc, Grumpy, Happy and Sneezy – five gorgeous bundles of fun who are looking for a home. The five puppies and their two sisters, Dopey and Sleepy, were born eight weeks ago at the Lord Whisky Animal Sanctuary, Stelling Minnis. Their mother, a German shepherd rottweiler cross, had been found wandering in woods near Herne Bay a few weeks earlier. With her was another cross-breed, possibly the puppies’ father. Lord Whisky founder Margaret Todd said it quickly became apparent that the bitch was expecting, and the puppies were born on January 9. Dopey and Sleepy have already been homed, as have the two adult dogs, and Mrs Todd is now appealing for loving and permanent homes for the remaining five black and tan pups. “They are lovely healthy puppies and are very affectionate and playful. They are gorgeous,” said Mrs Todd. Although pint-sized now, the puppies will grow up into big powerful dogs so need to go to responsible homes where they will have plenty of attention and exercise. “They will be about as big as a German shepherd. Big dogs have had a bad press recently so people need to really appreciate what they are taking on,” said Mrs Todd. “These dogs need to go to owners who have plenty of time for them. They need stimulation and if they don’t get it that is when the problems can start,” she said. All homes are checked by Lord Whisky. The sanctuary also has a number of adult German shepherds looking for homes. For more information phone 01303 862622.
