Cour­ses have places avail­able

SOME places are still avail­able for two cour­ses tak­ing place on Satur­day at Ash­ford Adult Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­tre in Queen’s Road.

Fam­i­lies have the chance to say bon­jour when they meet to take part in the Learn with the Chil­dren course – Have Fun with French.

Aimed at en­cour­ag­ing par­ents, fam­i­lies and chil­dren to en­joy learn­ing to­gether us­ing prac­ti­cal, in­for­ma­tive and en­joy­able ac­tiv­i­ties, the one­day course runs from 10am un­til 3.30pm.

Those qual­i­fied in thermo-auric­u­lar ther­apy have the op­por­tu­nity to im­prove their skills by tak­ing part in a one-day course.

The an­cient tech­nique in­volves a pa­tient ly­ing on their side and a spe­cial can­dle is placed near to the ear. The lit can­dle, filled with wax, honey and herbs gen­tly warms and the vapour can help re­lieve ear, si­nus, nose, throat and head prob­lems. It can also stim­u­late the lymph sys­tem and aid the body’s me­tab­o­lism.

This course runs from 10am un­til 4.30pm and costs £45.
