Disappointed at sarcastic replies

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

I WAS very disappointed at the replies to concerned readers regarding potholes and dirty keypads (March 1). Why does Mr Marsh think it’s OK to just accept dirty keypads on cash machines? Surely it’s a matter of standards being maintained. Would he eat a meal off a dirty plate in a restaurant? As for the fury caused by Lorraine Hutchings’ letter about potholes in the roads of Shadoxhurst, I should just like to point out that we “country folk” pay our road tax and council tax just like the everyone else. Why should we be made to feel that we should put up with crumbling roads, riddled with potentially dangerous potholes because we live in the country? Carol Edgington, Hornash Lane, Shadoxhurst, Ashford.
