Fourth man charged with con­spir­acy

A FOURTH man has ap­peared in court in con­nec­tion with a spate of cash ma­chine thefts.

Un­em­ployed John Pan­han­dle-Smith, 30, of Snow­down Car­a­van Site, Ayle­sham Road, Dover, is charged with con­spir­acy to bur­gle.

He ap­peared be­fore Dover mag­is­trates on Satur­day morn­ing and was re­manded in cus­tody.

The charge re­lates to five in­ci­dents in Jan­uary and Fe­bru­ary in­volv­ing cash ma­chines at New Rom­ney, Hawkinge, Beltinge near Herne Bay, Sand­wich and Lit­tle­bourne.

Pan­han­dle-Smith will ap­pear be­fore a judge at Maid­stone Crown Court on Fri­day along with three other men.

They are Hizekiah Roberts, 30, an un­em­ployed builder from Dick­ens Av­enue, Can­ter­bury; Dar­ren Scott Lee, 31, a labourer of The Mead­ows, New Rom­ney and An­thony Cor­nelius Lee, 32, a builder from Green­bridge Park Car­a­van Site, Vaux­hall Road, Can­ter­bury. All are charged with con­spir­acy to bur­gle. Roberts is also charged with griev­ous bod­ily harm with in­tent to re­sist ar­rest.
