Tools and Barbies stolen in lorry raids
THOUSANDS of pounds worth of goods were stolen in a series of overnight lorry thefts on Monday, March 5.
Police are investigating the raids on three vehicles in Willesborough and Sevington.
A Citroen Berlingo parked in Camden Terrace, Willesborough, was broken into between 11pm and 7.30am causing £150 worth of damage to the rear door. Power tools valued at approximately £3,000 were stolen.
At the same time, 70 cases of Rizla cigarette papers worth £1,500 were stolen from a Leyland Daf commercial lorry parked at the Ashford Truckstop services in Waterbrook Avenue, Sevington.
In the third raid, toys, including Barbie dolls, were taken from an IvecoFord commercial double wagon lorry parked behind the French Connection restaurant in Sevington. Damage costing £100 was caused to the wagon curtains on both trailers.
