LOOKING TO FUTURE

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

YVETTE Fillery, with a little help from her uncle, Gordon Dewar, has bought the business from the Cooks and renamed it A Cut Above The Rest. “We have kept on all the old customers who are all retired ladies and great characters,” she said. “We have 44 ladies who have been coming since it opened. They didn’t want to lose their hairdresser’s so we took it on.” Ms Fillery, together with top stylist Shirley Wilkinson, has promised a ‘ladies’ day’ every week so all the existing clients can come in as before to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat while having their hair done. But there will be a few changes in store for customers. Ms Fillery has revealed she is a clairvoyant, working under the stage name Yvette Tamara, and will be offering psychic readings at the salon. A make-over and ‘taxi to your date’ service is also on the cards, along with a dog-walking service from Mr Dewar.
