MUSIC stores in Ashford say that Ben outsold X Factor rival Ray Quinn twice over in the first four days since their albums were released. Paul Smith, entertainment manager at Woolworths in the High Street, said: “The actual figure is 37 albums for Ben to 15 for Ray, so Ray’s losing severely.” The HMV in the County Square shopping centre sold five copies of Ben’s album to two of Ray’s. Their biggest-selling new release was Dover-born soul singer Joss Stone’s Introducing Joss Stone, with 20 copies sold, although at a lower price than Ben’s record.
