VOLUNTEER carers are being sought to help families with disabled children during Share the Care Week this week and beyond.

The week, which runs until Sunday, aims to celebrate the help that volunteer carers give to families with disabled children.

The volunteers, known as link carers, have the youngsters round to their homes for tea and trips out, giving their families a break and some time together, while knowing their children are well looked after.

In Kent 105 children benefit from short breaks with a link carer.
