MP’s favourite is family woodland walk

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

ASHFORD MP Damian Green has revealed his favourite day out in the county – a walk with his family through King’s Wood, Challock.

Mr Green is backing the Kent Big Day Out on March 31 and supporting British Tourism Week.

He said: “The wood is a haven and, apart from the natural beauty of the trees, there are a number of intriguing art instal- lations. It’s as much fun to splash through the mud in winter as to enjoy the dappled sunlight in the summer.”

Kent Tourism’s Big Day Out celebrates the county’s diverse tourism attractions by offering thousands of free tickets to a wide range of places.

Fran Warrington, head of Kent Tourism, said: “The response to the Big Day Out has been phe- nomenal and I am delighted our Kent MPs have been sharing their personal recommendations and supporting our campaign.”

There are some free tickets still available.
