Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

THE second Lydd Airshow has been launched. Business leaders from across Kent and East Sussex joined representatives of the tourism industry at the airport last Thursday. More than 60 guests were treated to a champagne reception by the airport’s managing director Zaher Deir. They then watched an air display from the airport’s chairman, Air Marshall Clifford Spink, in a Spitfire, Flight Lieutenant Bobby Moore flying an RAF Tocano and the wing-walking Team Guinot. Kent Tourism Alliance chief executive Sandra MatthewsMarsh was the guest speaker. Lydd Airshow 2007 takes place on September 1 and 2. Tickets can be booked online from May 1.
