A STUDENT from New Romney has received a scholarship towards her studies at university. Bethany Dearlove, 18, a former pupil of Highworth Grammar for Girls in Ashford, is studying for a maths degree at the University of Reading and has been awarded a £2,000 scholarship to go towards the costs of her first year studies. Bethany said: “When I received my offer I was very excited, and although I have always found myself to be very self motivated, the chance of getting the scholarship inspired me further to reach for those top grades. To receive recognition for this work is unbelievable. ”
