A NUM­BER of com­pa­nies listed by the Food Stan­dards Agency as be­ing at risk of con­tam­i­na­tion fol­low­ing the lis­te­ria scare have been de­clared as safe. Ash­ford In­ter­na­tional Ho­tel and Ash­ford Cricket Club are no longer listed on the FSA web­site as be­ing at risk of stock­ing con­tam­i­nated An­chor sand­wiches. A spokesman for the FSA said: “Be­cause lis­te­ria could be so se­ri­ous for some groups, we needed to be able to nar­row down where the sand­wiches could have po­ten­tially gone to. “We asked for in­for­ma­tion of where this com­pany sup­plied to but it emerged that more in­for­ma­tion was avail­able and a lot of peo­ple who were on this list shouldn’t have been and were taken off.” See
