Back to join slave ship

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

PASTOR Syd Doyle and his wife Liz, who started and ran Ashford Christian Fellowship for more than a decade before answering the call of global evengalism, have been back in Kent this week.

The couple flew in from their American base to join the celebrations to mark the end of slavery. They took part in the 5,000 stong London march led by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.

Today they will be aboard a replica 18th century slave ship that will cruise up the River Thames and they will be leading tours of the sailing rigger until April 10.
