Easter attractions at Rare Breeds Centre
NEW-BORN lambs are just one of the many highlights of Easter Holidays at The Rare Breeds Centre, Woodchurch.
Spokesman Nigel Collins said: “This year we’ve timed lambing to coincide with the Easter holidays to give visitors a chance to meet and greet plenty in our giant undercover Lambing Tunnel.
“We are also really excited with the opening of our new walk-through aviary and our specially built Easter Grotto where, after doing the Farm Yard Easter Trail, children can meet the Giant Chicken and get a free Easter chocolate.”
The serious message of preserving animals will be promoted. There will also be all the old favourites at the visi- tor attraction, including the two indoor play barns, the offground assault course, trailer rides, and the farm animals on the walk-through Encounter Paddocks.
It will also see the start of the now famous pig racing season on an improved racing track.
All income from visits help fund the work of Canterbury Oast Trust, which owns the centre and provides homes, care and occupational opportunities for more than a hundred disabled adults.
The Rare Breeds Centre is open every day over the Easter holidays from 10.30am and full information can be found on the new website www.rarebreeds.org.uk or by calling 01233 861493.
