Lots on of­fer at Kent Game Fair

THE Bri­tish As­so­ci­a­tion for Shoot­ing and Con­ser­va­tion (BASC) will be sup­port­ing the Kent Game Fair at the Kent Show­ground at Detling at the week­end.

A trade stand based in the Kent Pav­il­ions will fea­ture coun­try­man Chris Green, who will also be demon­strat­ing his skills in the in­door and out­door are­nas.

The Kent Wild­fowl­ing and Con­ser­va­tion As­so­ci­a­tion will also be on their stand with their dis­play.

It will in­clude chair­man and au­thor Alan Jar­ret with his team rep­re­sent­ing one of the largest wild­fowl­ing clubs in the coun­try, with ac­cess to large ar­eas of fore­shore for shoot­ing ducks and geese.

Other at­trac­tions will in­clude firearms dealer Alan Wey, a Lon­don gun­maker and ac­tive stalker, who will be bring­ing to the stand many ri­fles in­clud­ing stalk­ing, fox­ing and rab­bit­ing ver­sions and clas­sic cal­i­bres.

BASC will also host the gun­dog scur­ries run by Clare and Robin Wil­son. A team of ex­perts will be avail­able for shot­gun coach­ing lessons.

The event also fea­tures a shop­ping vil­lage in two halls con­tain­ing guns, coun­try cloth­ing, boots and shoes, have-a-go ac­tiv­i­ties and en­ter­tain­ment.
