First aiders battle it out to be the best
CUTS, bruises and broken limbs will be attended to when an event takes place on The Leas in Folkestone on Saturday, May 12.
The first aid charity, The St John Ambulance, is holding a regional competition in the town at which about 150 volunteers will take part.
The volunteers will be faced with a range of scenarios which they might come up against and will show how they would deal with casualties.
The public are invited to watch and are also welcome to the prize-giving ceremony at the Leas Cliff Hall at 4.30pm.
The day will also include a balloon race at 4pm, with prizes for the owners of balloons which travel the furthest, as well as roundabouts, a bouncy castle and stalls.
The event is supported by the Southcliff Hotel on The Leas.
