Dutch driver faces death charge
A DUTCH truck driver has appeared before magistrates charged with causing the deaths of two Kent probation workers by dangerous driving.
Johnny Vos is accused of causing the deaths of Hazel Croucher and Kerry Sharp, who died on the M20 near Ashford on December 21.
The 46-year-old, from Axel, was remanded in custody after he could not find £25,000 bail.
The case was transferred to Maidstone Crown Court where it is scheduled to come before a judge on May 11 for a preliminary hearing.
The women, who lived in Dover and Folkestone, were killed in a four-vehicle crash on the M20 on their way home from a Christmas party.
