Lesbians’ divorce “done and dusted”
A LESBIAN couple who were among the first in Britain to enter a civil partnership, are finalising their divorce.
Daphne Ligthart, 36, and Liz King, 40, tied the knot at Ashford Register Office in February 2006.
The couple, who lived in Willesborough, are now in the final stages of their divorce after a split last May, three months after the ceremony.
Ms Ligthart, who works for Eurostar, said: “It is done and dusted and I wish her every happiness. I would do it again, I have always said that.”
